It gives us great pleasure to announce that Thanawala Consultancy Services, currently a sole proprietorship, will be converting into a partnership firm with effect from 1 April 2022 by inducting Harshit Agarwal as a partner in the firm.

Harshit is a Fellow member of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, UK (FIA) as well as a Fellow member of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI). He graduated as BSc. in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent in the U.K in 2014. Post his graduation, he joined the offshore offices of Deloitte Consulting US Pvt. Ltd. within their “Retirement” practice and gained valuable experience on actuarial valuation of employee benefit plans under various accounting standards. He subsequently gained experience in the General Insurance sector, both at Deloitte Consulting US Pvt. Ltd. and later at HDFC ERGO General Insurance Pvt. Ltd. , where he was part of the Non-Motor Insurance Pricing team.

After gaining invaluable experience on various actuarial aspects during his stints at these companies, Harshit joined Thanawala Consultancy Services in April 2019 as a Senior Actuarial Consultant. Since then he has worked on a plethora of actuarial valuations across a wide range of clients and has contributed actively on various employee benefit consulting assignments undertaken by the firm. Over the past three years, you may have already interacted with him on various assignments.

We are delighted to have Harshit join us a partner of the firm. He brings with him extensive experience in various areas of employee benefits and will further support our endeavor to provide high quality consulting services to our esteemed clients. We look forward to working with him as he contributes to the next phase of development of the firm.
